2018: Asus ROG Rapture GT-AX11000
On June 20, 2018 the ASUS company provided the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 router providing high capacity at simultaneous connection of a set of client wireless devices.
According to the statement of the developer, the ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 router provides the high connection speed and the maximum capacity. It is the three-band Wi-fi router with support of standard 802.11ax developed especially for the most loaded networks. It has total capacity to 11000 Mbps: up to 1148 Mbps in the frequency range of 2.4 GHz and up to 4804 Mbps in each of two ranges of 5 GHz, one of which can be reserved only under game devices, having prohibited all other gadgets to use this channel. The possibility of wire connection of devices according to the Gigabit Ethernet standard is provided in the majority of Wi-Fi-routers, but in Rapture GT-AX11000 2,5-Gbit/s the Ethernet port provides higher speed of hardwired connection. The increased capacity allows a system to interact with several gigabit devices at the same time on maximum speed or to use the network systems of data storage of NAS integrating different ports for capacity growth.
The adaptive service QoS which received the name of ASUS Game Boost analyzes network activity and by default gives a priority to game traffic that other tasks with high consumption of traffic, for example, downloading of updates, did not reduce connection speed in games multi-user online. The Boost button located directly on the router body allows to activate different functions, such as Game Boost or DFS, without coming into the web interface or mobile application.
The ROG Rapture GT-AX11000 router will go on sale in the III quarter 2018.[1]
