2023: Product Announcement
In December 2023, DIA Software introduced the first Russian open source software for unmanned aerial vehicles. The product was named Asv.Drones.
The software is designed to control drones, ground communication stations and various payloads. Thanks to this software, one operator can simultaneously control several drones at once, and there is also support for command mode.
This is the first Russian software open source. There are foreign analogues, there are no such developments in Russia yet, "said Alexey Voloshkevich, General Director of DIA Soft. |
According to him, since the software has open source, other companies on the market will be able to use it. Also, open source software can be used for different types of devices. Asv.Drones runs on,,,, and operating systems Windows Linux Android. MacOS iOS
Alexey Voloshkevich also noted that Asv.Drones has a plugin system at all levels, due to which all developers can write a closed part only for themselves and sell to their customers, "conditionally using our software and adding only the modules that they need."
Also, on the basis of the server of the ground control station, an "external black box" will be implemented - the collection and storage of UAV telemetry. The Asv.Drones.Payload Block is designed to receive the data stream from the payload and transmit it to the ground control station. In addition, it is planned to create libraries for managing GNSS receivers and supporting the extended Mavlink protocol.
According to the developers, Asv.Drones can be used for different types of devices, for example, multirotors (drones that have more than two carrying screws), fixed-wing aircraft, vertical take-off and landing aircraft (VTOL) and others.[1]
