On November 9, 2023, KamAZ published the first photos of the Atlant 49 unmanned dump truck. It is designed for operation in coal pits.

The first photos of the car on the platform appeared on the Telegram channel "Going to Tatarstan." After that, the KamAZ company also published the image.

The head of the press service of "KamAZ" Oleg Afanasyev explained that the photographs captured "Atlant 49" after the installation of the dump platform goes to the scientific and technical center of the company for refinement. Then he will be sent to coal quarries in Kemerovo for testing in real conditions.

Earlier it was reported that the KamAZ unmanned dump truck received an engine with a capacity of 500 liters. from., Allison hydromechanical transmission and several auxiliary functions for working at the quarry: overload control, weighing system, control of the presence of power lines, rear and all-round video cameras, collision prevention system, driver status control, Virtual Corridor system... The machine was developed in the Autonomous Ready category: when equipped with a sensor, it becomes a robot, and the second prototype will be immediately made as an unmanned one.

The wheel formula of the dump truck is 10x6. Suspension of the third, fourth and fifth axles is hydropneumatic, with the ability to compensate for roll during loading/unloading. Steerable wheels - on the first, second and fifth axles; turning wheels on the aft provide turning radius at the level of four-wheelers.[1]
