Content

Atos Quantum Learning Machine (Atos QLM) is the machine system created based on the ultracompact supercomputer, using a universal language of programming of aQasm (Atos Quantum Assembly Language) and capable to execute modeling to 40 quantum bits (qubit) per second.

The quantum system of modeling from Atos is available in 5 different configurations (from 30 to 40 qubit) to compliance to requirements of the different organizations and differs in simplicity of installation. Atos QLM allows researchers, students and engineers to develop and test quantum applications and algorithms of the future.

Universal language of programming

aQasm (Atos Quantum Assembly Language) is developed by specialists of Atos Quantum laboratory. Language can be executed as on the quantum modeling system, and in the future on quantum accelerators or physical quantum computers. aQasm distinguish ample opportunities for setup of a configuration: language offers an opportunity to program quantum switches (by analogy with logic gates in traditional computing technologies) and to share them with other existing quantum switches for creation of more complete expansions.

As envisioned by the company, aQasm is common language for all future developments of Atos in the field of quantum technologies that guarantees compatibility and simple transition in the future. Thanks to the universal aQasm configuration supports a possibility of development of connecting elements for transfer of programs from other quantum simulators.

The ultracompact supercomputer of the size of the normal server

The ultracompact supercomputer developed by a team of specialists Atos Quantum provides following features:

  • processing in memory for work fall forward;
  • the hardware-software providing optimizing data exchange according to the quantum model developed by aQasm;
  • dedicated hardware components for acceleration of certain quantum computings which can be replaced afterwards with quantum accelerators.

The sizes comparable to the sizes of the normal server allow to install a new system practically in any place.

2019: Atos Quantum Learning Machine based on the BullSequana servers

High-performance computing systems and the quantum Atos Quantum Learning Machine simulator based on the BullSequana servers allow to increase in addition the speed of work of technology of deep training and Artificial intelligence for increase in process performance of quality control. The solution uses image understanding systems for fast and simple detection of problems of quality on the basis of a training algorithm.

The simulator can count the quantum systems. Physically it is not the quantum computer, but reproduces its work and can solve a part of problems for this computer or show that the task on it is solved. Its technology platform of modular construction of BullSequana S, in turn, has a scaling option to 42U/32 CCPs. One module may contain in addition 2 graphic accelerators with a possibility of growth to 32 accelerators. Thus, machine learning can use this computing power in the work.

2017: Announcement of a system

On August 3 the Atos company provided the first quantum Atos Quantum Learning Machine self-training computer which is created by Atos Quantum laboratory based on the ultracompact supercomputer and uses a universal language of programming.

The quantum physics radically will change bases of information security which has a strategic importance for the modern companies. And we should be prepared for changes of the future already today. Specialists of Atos Quantum laboratory achieved the outstanding results confirmed with world-wide recognized academic council. Scientists and engineers around the world had an opportunity to use the modeling environment for development of quantum algorithms which will play an important role in the future — Thierry Breton, the chairman of the board of directors and the chief executive officer of Atos company said within the presentation of Atos Quantum Learning Machine.
