Autodesk Revit LT 2013

The Autodesk company provided in September, 2012 light version of the system of information modeling of buildings (Building Information Modeling – BIM) under the name Revit LT.

The product is intended for small architectural and civil engineering firms which are not ready to purchase and mastering of the full-scale solutions BIM. Usability and the low price of Autodesk Revit LT give to the specified category of customers the chance quickly and effectively to implement main advantages of methodology of BIM: increase quality of modeling of buildings and constructions, to optimize processes of maintaining documentation and to organize fruitful joint work of designers, builders and contractors.

Autodesk Revit LT represents commercial option of the simplified free system of information modeling of buildings Project Spark which was for the first time provided by division of Autodesk Labs in August, 2011 and will be available to loading until the end of September of the current year.

Autodesk Revit LT is based on the platform of the full-scale Autodesk Revit BIM system and offers the following advantages:

• Uniform model of the building. Within this model users can perform works on modeling and drawing up documentation. Revit LT automatically considers in documentation all changes at the level of building model, increasing coordination of actions of employees, reducing number of errors and, as a result, increasing labor productivity.
• Three-dimensional design and visualization. Revit LT gives the chance to see virtual model of the building better to provide its general view and the internal organization and also to visually show them to the client.
• Photorealistic rendering using cloud computing. In the presence of an additional subscription the user of Revit LT can execute rendering of model in a cloud directly of the interface of the program. Cloud computing allows to receive quickly photorealistic visualization in independence of computing power of the computer having near at hand.
• File sharing of DWG and RVT. The Revit LT program gives the chance to save files in the DWG format and it is easy to exchange them with others to project participants.
• Unlike the full-scale system of information modeling of buildings Autodesk Revit, the Revit LT program does not support simultaneous multi-user work with the file of the project, does not contain the built-in means of rendering and some other functions.
