2018: Анонс Automatic Segmentation and Reconstruction
On April 11, 2018 the producer of biological Aether 3D-printers announced release of the software for medical visualization on the basis of the artificial intelligence (AI) which considerably will advance development 3D - printings of bodies. New Automatic Segmentation and Reconstruction (ASAR) will help doctors and researchers to increase performance by the automated segmentation of bodies and fabrics.
The used process of automatic segmentation and reconstruction of bodies combines a set of methods of image processing with adaptable modules of deep learning of AI. The technology allows to segment fabrics and bodies and it is easy to reconstruct them as digital 3D models for the analysis and printing without use of additional instruments of calibration or editing. The software on the basis of AI is intuitive it will be equipped with the simple user interface that will allow medical specialists easily and to carry out quickly 3D - visualization and preparation of models.
3D models are used for creation of exact anatomic copies of bodies on which, for example, surgeons can work the transaction course. The new software and process of ASAR will help the hospitals equipped with 3D-printers to receive quickly qualitative 3D models in the most medical institution. New software of Aether is already used for segmentation of data of KT, and the company is going to develop similar technologies for processing of roentgenograms, angiograms and MRT-images. The company already prepared the first beta of the software.
Besides, Aether cooperates with researchers from Jang laboratory at the Harvard medical school over development of completely integrated system of three-dimensional printing of fabrics and bodies. A system will combine artificial intelligence, the bioprinter with a broad range of tools and special bioink.[1]
