Avaya G430 media gateway – the economic, scalable and safe platform for implementation of the IP telephony applications on the basis of Avaya Aura Communication Manager.

February 28, 2018. The model is expected operation in small branches or the separate enterprises of the average sizes with number of users from 1 to 150. As well as other models of media gateways Avaya of GX50 series, it is possible to use it for providing to branches access to opportunities and the Communication Manager applications of the central network.

Avaya G430 Gateway (2018)

The gateway G430 supports two expansion units of satisfaction of needs of branches of different scales. It works together with the software of the IP telephony of Communication Manager which works on the Avaya S8XXX Server servers that helps to organize intellectual communication for the enterprise of any size. The gateway G430 combines telephone exchange and functioning of networks of data, providing a bypass of long-distance calls of PSTN, data routing and VoIP traffic by means of the distributed territorial network (WAN).

Feature of the gateway G430 is existence of the mechanism of voice transmission under the Internet protocol (VoIP), the optional WAN router and the connectivity of Ethernet LAN. The gateway G430 provides a full support for digital phones and the IP Avaya phones and also for such analog devices as modems, fax machines and phones.

The gateway G430 supports up to 150 users when using as the gateway of branch in average or big departments of large enterprise or the operator center. This configuration requires the software of the IP telephony of Communication Manager which works on one or several Avaya S8xxx Server servers. When using the Avaya S8300 server it is possible to work with 150 users. Telephone services of the gateway G430 are controlled by the Avaya S8XXX Server server working as the controller of external calls (External Call Controller, ECC) or as the controller of internal calls (Internal Call Controller, ICC). The gateway G430 supports work of Avaya S8300 Server as ICC or if on other data transfer gateway S8300, ECC is set.

The gateway G430 also supports operation of the Avaya S8710, S8720, S8730, Avaya S8500 and Avaya S8400 servers as ECC. ICC can be used as addition to ECC with ICC set as the local rescue processor (LSP) intended for acceptance on itself call managements in case of failure of ECC or break of communication on the distributed territorial network (WAN) between branch and the main department. LSP provides a fault-free full functional telephone service for branches. The gateway G430 has function of standard local survivability (SLS) that will provide basic telephone service in case of loss of communication with primary ECC. The gateway G430 is the scalable device. 1 block of the power source (PSU), 256 MB of the RAM and one mezzanine board DSP supporting 20 VoIP channels enters a basic configuration.
