Aveva Engineering is a product for joint development of the database of all engineering objects (for example, lines of pipelines, the equipment and an armature) with all key attributes, with participation of specialists of different departments.

The updated AVEVA company in April, 2020 submitted the concept of end-to-end informatization on the basis of digital doubles of the enterprises.

Transition to the third decade of the 21st century became for the British company AVEVA an important business mark: there passed two years after fatal consolidation with Schneider Software, software division of Schneider Electric, and the company, really, reached the new level of development. 2015: Opportunities and Aveva Engineering properties

According to information for May, 2015 the solution Aveva Engineering has the configured data model that allows to adapt it for a broad spectrum of requirements of standards of the industry and the enterprise and also to manage any project data. At the same time each participant retains full control over the part of work on any database object.

A wide choice of the preconfigured reports allows to generate automatically from the same database key documents of the project – registrars of tags, lists of pipelines, the equipment and valves and also any special or departmental reports.

The user has an opportunity to easily create, change and browse data in base with use as tabular style, and in style of the conductor and also to use the stored data:

• work with tabular representation for convenient editing properties of positions in one
• create tabular representations under each direction or discipline
• to move quickly on the structured project tree

The system of constant control of access to the stored data allows to manage the volume of visible information and to give the chance of editing for an individual user or a user group. All changes automatically remain in base, and information on changes becomes available to other users at once.

The configured checks on compliance can be applied to quality control of data at any time, and the built-in instruments of control of the status allow to trace in details all stages and to reflect the current information in a schedule type and tables.

The Compare and Update utility helps to synchronize information, to reveal discrepancies between the data entered in other products AVEVA, third-party programs and other sources of information.

Aveva Engineering is created on the basis of Aveva PDMS and Aveva Outfitting technologies. In Aveva Engineering use of the PML and.NET API programming languages is possible that allows to apply various settings under specific requirements.

Change control in document lists

• Lists are created on the predeterminated templates and used for input and editing data during the work on the project documentation.

• The data changed using lists are reflected in the table and vice versa. The user selects the most convenient for himself a work format.
• The user himself defines the scheme of check and verification of versions of the project.

• The direction of information to external contacts, for example to equipment suppliers, is supported thanks to functions of import/export Excel.

• All changes, including updates, undergo the procedure of check. Thanks to that only up-to-date data are included in the database of model.

The configured structure of the project

• The user independently configures the type of structure of the project convenient to it suitable under specific objectives and standards of a single company.

• A system gives ample opportunities for navigation and data access.

• As everything is stored in a unified environment with data of schemes and the drawing and with three-dimensional model, the structure of the project can include all these data also.
