On January 26, 2022, Axoft, a global expert in information technology and services distribution, introduced a connector for fast integration of OpenVPN and ESET Secure Authentication (ESA) solutions.

ESET Secure Authentication is a two-factor authentication tool that provides secure access to corporate information. OpenVPN is an open source solution for creating encrypted channels.

Axoft's technical team had the task of writing software code that will allow companies using OpenVPN to strengthen their protection using ESA. Previously, when integrating OpenVPN and ESA, it was not possible to use a one-time password for an authentication session.

The Axoft connector created is a Python library that includes instructions for integrating ESA into OpenVPN.

"This connector is relevant for customers in any industry that has enterprise resources available from the Internet. If they plan to additionally protect access to these resources using two-factor authentication and use OpenVPN, then our technology will help to perform easy integration with ESET Secure Authentication, "said Denis Fokin, head of consulting and engineering support for the IB direction of Axoft.
