2019: Announcement
At the beginning of November, 2019 Microsoft used the Ignite 2019 conference to provide a number of new tools and services for business development. Among new products — the cloud platform of Azure Blockchain Tokens intended for creation of corporate cryptotokens.
The solution allows to tokenize physical or digital assets, to manage them and to use on blockchain platforms of different type. Using Azure Blockchain Tokens, a developer blockchain will get access to instruments of creation of tokens according to the Token Taxonomy Initiative (TTI) standards or an opportunity to use a template for creation of four most popular types of tokens.
In addition to Microsoft, the initiative of TTI is supported by corporations IBM and Intel, consortia Hyperledger and R3, the company Digital Asset Holdings and a blockchain startup ConsenSys.
Templates which by the beginning of November, 2019 can be created on the platform are not commercial products therefore they do not need to be certified. If the company wants to use tokens directly, it should get the corresponding permissions in Securities and Exchange Commission.
Service provides access to a set of open API for interaction with tokens. Among scenarios there are uses of similar tokens in business: digitalization of a supply chain, programs of loyalty, document flow and many other things.
We create the platform in a cloud where any token from structure of TTI can be built-in. You can develop applications in which want to use tokens, for example, with Dynamics, SAP, Microsoft Office or some processes of automation of business — the leading developer of the Azure Blockchain Tokens project Marley Gray stated (Marley Gray). |
By the beginning of November, 2019 the Azure Blockchain Tokens platform is available as the preliminary version.[1]
