The first fund for investments in blockchain has been launched in Russia. This became known on October 22, 2021. The BCS Digital Galaxy project was implemented by BCS World of Investments.
The created PIF allows you to invest in companies that develop decentralized data storage and processing technology. The fund was listed on the Moscow Exchange and does not require qualification for investors. The minimum entry threshold for this PIF is $15.
The mutual investment fund included shares of leading world companies that introduce blockchain and other advanced digital solutions, as well as actively participate in the development of the industry. The portfolio includes about 15 companies, including PayPal, Square, NXP Semiconductors and Broadcom. At the same time, the portfolio is constantly rebalanced to achieve the optimal balance of the fund's assets, the press service of BCS Mir Investments told TASS.
They also noted that blockchain is used in many sectors of the economy, primarily these finance (digital currencies) and the banking sector, as well as medicine logistics, production. According to Vladimir Solovyov, General Director of BCS Management Company, the potential for the development of this technology is associated with its active introduction into the world economy, while independent investments in this sector are quite complex, costly and risky: significant analytical resources are needed to assess the prospects of a company. According to Solovyov, a large amount of funds will be required to form a diversified portfolio.
Anzhey Kovalchuk, chief cryptocurrency strategist at TomiEx, says that investors are massively developing cryptocurrency and blockchain projects, which leads to an increase in the rate of Bitcoin and digital currencies. By October 22, 2021, the cost of Bitcoin exceeds $67 thousand.[1]
