The system of a business intelligence with the open code BIRT was loaded already by 10 million users and 1 million developers — the Actuate company in November, 2010 which is a sponsor of the project reported about it.
In a quarter which ended on September 30 BIRT brought to Actuate income about 5.1 million dollars that is 8% more, than for the same period of last year. At the same time the general profit of the company in a quarter was about 40 million dollars of Actuate offers ActuateOne, a commercial packet on the basis of BIRT. It includes the iServer component which is absent in BIRT which, according to in Actuate, is capable to provide access to functions of analytics to almost unlimited number of users.
In the market there are also other companies developing BI open code systems, for example, of JasperSoft, Pentaho, SpagoBI and Vanilla BI.
