2025: Product Announcement
In Russia, the production of intelligent systems "Balka" has been launched to identify cars on the wanted list. This became known on March 10, 2025. The complex is being developed by the Azimut production company, which is part of Rostec. The first batch of equipment has already been transferred to the road patrol service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in one of the regions of the country. The system is designed to automatically monitor traffic flow and detect wanted vehicles.
According to Rostec, the Balka software and hardware complex (PAC) is installed on patrol cars and transmits information about the traffic situation to the dispatch center in real time. The system allows you to automatically record speeding, analyze traffic violations and quickly identify vehicles located in the federal wanted databases of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The PAC includes eight video cameras, a radar module, a GLONASS navigation receiver, an industrial computer and a monoblock glass cleaning system. The equipment is located in a protected case installed on the roof of a patrol car for flashing beacons. The system can be controlled both remotely and from a universal tablet installed in the vehicle.
The Balka complex also supports integration with additional modules based on artificial intelligence. These modules can be used to analyze the state of the road surface, monitor street lighting, road signs and markup quality.
Asker Saidov, General Director of Azimut PC JSC, noted that the introduction of the Balka system will increase the efficiency of monitoring the road situation and the efficiency of the response of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to changes in the situation.[1]
