BeeGFS

BeeGFS is the file system for high-performance computing clusters.

The storage device subsystem plays a key role in work of a cluster, and its performance, often, limits performance of all cluster. For a number of reasons, most often caused by features of the used software, upgrade of a storage device subsystem of a cluster appears expensive and difficult project.

Use of the innovation BeeGFS file system in combination with the high density disk arrays and servers of data storage released by different vendors solves this problem. Other things being equal, performance of the BeeGFS file system several times exceeds performance of traditional file systems and linearly grows in process of increase in productivity of the used disk arrays or servers of data storage.

BeeGFS On Demand allows customers to create "on the fly" a set of file systems, using free resources of SSD disks of computing nodes. These file systems which are usually applied to storage of temporary files or preloading of the processed data show performance in hundreds of thousands and millions of IOPS without any additional capital investments of customers in the equipment.
