2025: Product Announcement
At the end of October 2025, the Federal State Budgetary Institution "National Medical Research Center for Therapy and Preventive Medicine" (FSBI "National Medical Research Center TPM") of the Ministry of Health of Russia presented a medical system called "Brainbuilding." This is a software and hardware complex for the rehabilitation of patients with cognitive and motor disorders.
The principle of the system is based on methods of analyzing the electrical activity of the brain in real time. Biofeedback is involved, which allows "to directly stimulate the processes of brain neuroplasticity."
In Russia,To register the electrical activity of the brain, a special helmet with an array of electrodes is used. The obtained data is transmitted to a computer, where they are analyzed using special software. The system operates on the principle of a closed cycle: when the patient produces a mental force aimed at concentration or any action, the complex detects the corresponding target changes in the rhythms of the electroencephalogram and instantly provides combined feedback through vibration stimulation and visual signals. This approach, it is argued, allows you to fix the right models of neural activity, which contributes to the restoration of neural connections.
In October 2025, the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) issued a certificate of state registration of the program for the rehabilitation of cognitive and motor disorders (Brainbuilding) to the project participants. The copyright holder is FGBU "NMIC TPM," and among the authors of the development are Vladimir Antipov, Artem Badarin, Alexander Khramov, Anton Kiselev and Oksana Drapkina. It is noted that the software and hardware complex aroused significant interest from industry participants.[1]
