Brocade SX6 Extension Blade is an edge (a port expansion card) for connection of the storage area networks working according to Fibre Channel protocols, FICON and replication of the IP storage systems carried on long distances.
On July 19, 2016 the Brocade company provided an edge of the Brocade SX6 Extension blade expansion for communication of DPC according to Fibre Channel protocols, FICON and replication of DWH under the IP protocol,
The device uses the IP protocol for creation of the protected tunnel between remote DPCs. Brocade SX6 Extension Blade increases data transfer rate and provides the high level of security without prejudice to performance. Capacity of applications up to 80 Gbps on each edge and enciphering of traffic on the full speed of the channel can be used by the most exacting infrastructures.
The specialized solution of Brocade SX6 Extension Blade provides uninterrupted scalable replication of storage systems according to Fibre Channel protocols of 32 Gbps and 1/10 Gbps of IP through WAN connections 10/1/40 of Gigabit Ethernet IP that helps to cope with constantly growing traffic volume of data processing between centers.
