Buffalo TeraStation Pro

On September 27, 2011 the Buffalo Technology company announced TeraStation Pro release — storage servers for Windows (Windows Storage Server, or WSS). The new family of network systems of storage with support of Raid is issued in configurations with two, four and six compartments for hard drives, the version with 4 compartments is also available in a form factor to installation in a rack. Delivers these Buffalo systems fully completed and configured with already configured Raid-5 array.

The newest storage systems of Buffalo were optimized especially for use as a file server. For implementation of reliable seamless integration at the level of the domain the products TeraStation Pro WSS are allocated with enhanced capabilities, such as centralized operation, service of replication of DFS, and for some models — deduplication (SIS) and support of RoDC.

Thanks to use of powerful dual-core processors of Intel (R) of Atom of Buffalo company it was succeeded to create the product differing in exclusive performance. TeraStation 5000

All models of the TeraStation 5000 series can work as the IP video recorder (Network Video Recorder - NVR), i.e. to directly write on the hard drives a video flow from surveillance cameras. With each device the set of the corresponding software (Video Management System – VMS) and the license for one camera is delivered. There are also ample opportunities of a combination of several ustroyst in network for the purpose of increase in quantity of disk space or creation of backup copies.

The dual-core processor with a frequency of 1.83 GHz and also 2 GB the module of RAM of DDR3 bring TeraStation to qualitatively new level, providing incredibly high data transfer rate. TeraStation 7000

The network drive NAS TeraStation 7120r Enterprise is available with a capacity of 36 and 48 TB. Thanks to the SoleraTec Phoenix RSM TeraStation 7000 application supports work with IP cameras. Devices are delivered with one free license, however further users can increase this quantity according to the requirements. The software supports cameras from 184 producers and manual adjustments for the RTSP protocol (Real Time Streaming Protocol) in which commands for flow control are described.

Feature of devices is the Media Cartridge function allowing to use one of disks by analogy with the tape drive for backup.

Solutions of the TeraStation 7000 series can function at the same time as NAS and iSCSI. Besides, devices are certified VMware and are integrated with programs Hyper-V and Citrix. Existence of this software gives to users the chance to add the virtualized storage to corporate network.

The drives TeraStation 7000 also allow to get remote access to data from several computers or different devices. NAS are equipped with the WebAccess function and support protocols of FTP/SFTP. The additional slots for the PCI Express cards providing the accelerated data transmission are provided in storage.

Buffalo TeraStation 7000 is created for work in the "24 hours 7 days a week" mode. It is promoted existence of two fans and two independent power sources providing duplication. The maximum energy consumption makes 250 W.

TeraStation 7000 offers users a set of functions of backup. Devices allow to perform the planned replication of files and real-time replication on other NAS Buffalo. Besides, storages are delivered together by 10 licenses of the professional software for backup of software of NovaBACKUP® Business Essentials.

Devices allow to set quotas and to differentiate the rights of the user access, thereby providing additional data protection.
