2019: Escala E3-900

On July 25, 2019 Atos company, the international leader in the field of digital transformation, announced that in Russia there was a compact and powerful two-socket server - Escala E3-900 based on the Power9 CCP which allows to save on licenses and to quickly process large volumes of information in real time for automation of calculations in power, fast transactions and also for identification and fraud prevention, financial risks, optimization of routes of transportations and the movement of goods.

The Escala E3-900 server is the special model within a line of the Escala servers developed for the critical systems. Easy integration of the platform allows to receive the high level of performance without impressive additional costs.

Escala E3-900 works on Power9 processors, each of which supports from four to twenty cores with a total amount of memory of RDIMM DDR4 to 4 TB that is twice more, than at the previous generation on Power8 processors. Such architecture allows to conduct IN-MEMORY information processing, i.e. in RAM in real time. As a result significantly the speed of the analysis of large volumes of data increases.

Most the companies of the list of Fortune 500 uses Power technology in the IT infrastructure for operational information processing in the financial sphere, retail trade, cargo transportation, telecommunications and power. The maximum configuration of servers on Power9 Escala E3-900 processors – allows to save on licensing and is the main condition of optimization when using the server taking into account necessary loading and speed of operational calculations,

The server allows to reduce by 45% costs on licenses of applications for management of databases and development of corporate programs. The expanded command system of ISA v3.0 in Power9 is specially intended for work even with such areas as predictive analytics, artificial intelligence and cognitive calculations. Besides, processors support the last data types, for example 128-bit numbers from a floating comma of fourfold accuracy (IEEE 754-2008) which use in applications for security and finance.
