2023: Product Announcement

Specialists of the Sakhalin Center for Unmanned Technologies have developed the Buttercup quadcopter resistant to electronic warfare (electronic warfare). The device is designed for reconnaissance and delivery of ammunition. The organization told about this in early June 2023.

According to TASS, citing representatives of the Sakhalin Center for Unmanned Technologies, by June 2023, various drones were operating in the zone of the special military operation (SVO) of Russia in Ukraine. Chinese, for example, according to the security protocol, if they lose satellites and radio communication, freeze and sit down if the battery sits down. And "Buttercup," falling into the electronic warfare zone, where satellites and a radio control system are lost, gives full gas. Makes the so-called rebound - flies in an absolutely random direction to get out of the electronic warfare zone. And when the drone departs from there, experts understand that they need to either bypass this site, or eliminate electronic warfare tools, the developers explained.

According to them, anti-drone guns mainly work at a range of 500-700 m.

When the drone flies out of this zone, we understand that something is wrong here: we must either bypass this zone, or send something there to eliminate the electronic warfare system, the center added.

The Sakhalin Center for Unmanned Technologies said that by early June 2023, the first version of the Buttercup had already been tested in the SVO zone. The developers noted that as part of the hostilities, the Buttercup can be used for reconnaissance, as well as the delivery of ammunition weighing up to 1.5 kg.

The Sakhalin Center for Unmanned Technologies specializes in the production, development of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as the training of specialized specialists. All work is carried out at its own expense. It is noted that the center works only with law enforcement agencies.[1]
