2017: Creation

At the beginning of 2018 it became known of creation of an intelligent network by the American Navies (N). The new technology is designed to reduce the number of human work and to reduce expenses.

According to the Futurism edition, US Navy expands the sea military network under the name CANES (Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services is the joint sea networks and corporate services) for operational interaction of the ships, submarines and coastal objects, using possibilities of the artificial intelligence (AI).

Initiators of the project calculate that CANES will reduce the number of the sailors necessary for maintenance of technology and other transactions that it is potentially possible to save billions of dollars within several years. Besides, a system is designed to automate processing of tactical information, such as data on threats and purposes therefore it will be possible to increase security of the fleet and to make it more advanced. According to plans of Naval Forces, by 2020 CANES will be unrolled in 190 courts and the centers of sea management.

We are very interested in that the artificial intelligence helped us better, than now, - the Chief information security officer of US Navy Danelle Barrett says. - We want to trust the machine and also to look at AI as on means of fight against opponents.

Futurism notes that the navy is going to use artificial intelligence for improvement of the transactions due to communication of the courts and strategic objects. Though the planned updating directly does not assume strengthening of military potential, it strengthens discussion of questions of use of AI in the military systems.

Earlier American Air Force began to involve machine learning in the systems of collecting of intelligence information, namely - in the drones used to tracking the opponent.^[1]
