In June, 2010 S-Terra CSP company, the developer of VPN solutions and the Russian technology partner of Cisco, announced completion of certification by the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control (FSTEC) of Russia of the software packages CSP VPN of version 3.1. As a result products received the estimated trust level of OUD 3+ (strengthened), compliance to the 3rd level of absence control of not declared opportunities, and can be used during creation of automated systems to a class of security 1G inclusive and personal data information systems (ISPDN) up to 1 class inclusive.
The software packages CSP VPN of version 3.1 are intended for work on computing systems based on architecture of x86, including the network module upgraded (MCM) coproduction of Cisco and S-Terra CSP companies. Module MCM can be used in Cisco ISR routers of the first and second generations (Cisco ISR 2800/3800 and Cisco ISR 2900/3900).
CSP VPN of version 3.1 is the modern security protection of networks working according to international standards of security (IPSec). The family includes the products CSP VPN Gate, CSP VPN Server and CSP VPN Client. Products are intended for protection of communications on the distributed networks, ensuring the protected interaction of data processing, safe work of mobile users between centers. Obtaining FSTEC certificates allows to apply them in the organizations processing personal data. Advantages of CSP VPN – flexibility of application, providing the high level of safety of communications, deep integration with Cisco infrastructure (for example, a possibility of administration using Cisco Security Manager).
Certification of FSTEC is necessary for carrying out successful certifications of information systems of customers, especially, in case of application of processing systems of personal data by them. In March of this year the software packages CSP VPN of version 3.1 received certificates of conformity to requirements to means of cryptographic information protection of FSB of Russia on class KC 1 and KC 2 depending on a complete set. Implementing CSP VPN of version 3.1, customers receive the solution which is completely certified by the Russian regulating authorities.
* the Received certificates certify that the products CSP VPN Gate 3.1, CSP VPN Server 3.1, CSP VPN Client 3.1 are software tools of general purpose with the built-in means of protecting from unauthorized access to information which is not containing the data which are the state secret have the estimated trust level of OUD 3+ (strengthened) according to the regulating document "Information technology security. Criteria for evaluation of information technology security" (State Technical Commission of Russia, 2002). Products conform to requirements of the regulating document "Protection against unauthorized access to information. Part 1. Information security software. Classification by the level of absence control of not declared opportunities" (State Technical Commission of Russia, 1999) – on the 3rd level of control can be also used during creation of automated systems to a class of security 1G inclusive and personal data information systems (ISPDN) up to 1 class inclusive.
