2025: Launching
The first serial freezer trawler processor of project 170701 "Captain Geller" went to factory sea trials. The ship was moored from the mooring wall of the construction embankment of the Northern Shipyard USC on the evening of November 25, 2025. Testing of the trawler's main life support systems will be carried out in the Baltic Sea for five days.
According to the press service of the Federal Agency for Fisheries, the delivery team will have to conduct maneuvering tests and a cycle of serviceability checks of key elements of ship equipment and main ship systems. Successfully passing the trawler quality and reliability test will allow you to move on to the next stage of construction. Employees and contractors of the USC Northern Shipyard, representatives of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and the customer holding take part in sea trials.
"Captain Geller" is the first vessel in the series since the head trawler "Captain Sokolov," handed over to the customer in 2025. Project 170701 vessels are designed to catch cod, haddock, pollock, herring and other fish species. The trawler is equipped with a modern fish processing factory with a capacity of up to 150 tons of products per day.
The special bow shape of the trawlers of this Enduro Bow series improves the seaworthiness of the vessel. The design reduces the impact of the oncoming wave to the nose end, reduces the icing of the case and increases the working space. This makes the work of the crew in difficult climatic conditions more efficient, safe and comfortable.
A series of fishing trawlers-processors of unlimited sea navigation of project 170701 is being built by order of the fishing holding Norebo"." The vessels are designed to fish for aquatic biological resources in the Northern Fisheries Basin.
