2024: Introduction of AI
Cardioquark has released an update for the CardioCARD telemetric monitoring system. The AI system of ECG analysis will determine the risks of developing a number of pathological conditions and heart diseases, as well as trends in their changes. Skolkovo reported this on November 6, 2024.
As of October 2024, more than 30 thousand people regularly use CardioCARD development, more than 1 million ECG records are registered. This is a portable device for self-registration of ECGs at home. It is necessary to identify rare episodes of rhythm disturbance, control the effectiveness of treatment, post-operative monitoring and screening of cardiovascular diseases.
The heart's electrical signal contains a wealth of hidden data that cannot be seen with the naked eye. Artificial intelligence analyzes this data and applies diagnostic algorithms. In collaboration with Sechenov University, NMIC Cardiology and NMIC TPM, annotated ECG records were collected, which made it possible to distinguish groups of signs indicating deviations from the norm.
We are pleased to present an update for CardioCARD, which now includes a powerful AI ECG analysis. Thanks to this technology, CardioMAP not only fixes the electrocardiogram, but analyzes its data, revealing the hidden risks of developing serious heart diseases. Our company strives to make technology accessible to everyone and create a world where people can live healthy and long lives. We thank our partners from Sechenov University, NMIC Cardiology and NMIC TPM for their valuable contribution to the development and training of the system. Together, we make health care more accessible and more efficient, said Sergey Sadovsky, Ph.D., Deputy General Director of CardioKVARK.

The patented method used "Method and system of non-invasive screening assessment of physiological parameters and pathologies" helps to determine the risks of the development of the following conditions:
- Tightening of ventricular walls may indicate diastolic dysfunction of the left ventricle and increases the risk of chronic heart failure.
- Lack of blood supply to the heart may indicate coronary heart disease due to atherosclerosis.
- Endocrine disorders can be a sign of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Expanding functionality by introducing AI analysis of ECG in the future will reduce the burden on doctors, help in early detection of problems, and will contribute to ensuring timely preventive measures. CardioCARD, which performs the ECG recording, is already registered as a medical device, we expect the developers to bring the product AI block also to the registration of the medical device and introduction into the healthcare system. noted Elena Fadeeva, senior project manager of the Center for the Development of Technologies in Biology , Medicine and Agriculture of the Skolkovo Foundation.

As of November 2026, the ECG report section is informational in nature and is not a diagnosis, but contributes to attentive attitude to health and medical examination for early detection of diseases before symptoms appear. This approach makes it possible to diagnose latent pathologies, which makes treatment more effective.
