2023: Product Announcement

In early September 2023, the Chinese company Ronovo Surgical announced the release of the Carina robotic surgical platform for laparoscopic operations.

Carina is a modular system created in collaboration with well-known Chinese surgeons. The patented technology platform enables minimally invasive procedures. The solution takes up relatively little space and allows you to effectively use the space in the operating room. Carina provides surgeons with the ability to choose the right tools and provides the most convenient anatomical access. The configuration may include three or four surgical modules - depending on the type of surgery being performed and the needs of the medical facility.

At the same time, Ronovo Surgical announced the holding of the next round of financing, during which approximately $26 million was raised for development. The program was led by NRL Capital. In addition, the funds were provided by Lilly Asia Venture, Vivo Capital, Matrix Partners China, GGV Capital and LongRiver Investments, as well as new investor Kington Kapital. Thus, in general, Ronovo Surgical has raised more than $76 million since 2020. The money raised is expected to help accelerate the commercialization of Carina's platform in both China and the international market.
