2021: The announcement of Cios Flow - mobile X-ray scanner for surgeries
At the beginning of January, 2021 the Siemens Healthineers company released the mobile x-ray device with a frame of the Cios Flow C-type which is designed to simplify workflow and to increase efficiency of daily procedures of visualization at surgical interventions. Cios Flow can be used in different surgical areas, including orthopedics and traumatology, backbone surgery, vascular surgery and also for treatment of a pain syndrome. The broad spectrum of applications does not allow a system to stand idle idle, thereby increasing its cost efficiency.
In modern operating rooms surgical crews often work in the conditions of limited time and should carry out several tasks at the same time. Continuous workflow is extremely important for security of the patient and operational efficiency. Work with the mobile x-ray device can be complicated because of a bad menavrennost of the device and otsutcnviya experience. Representing Cios Flow, Siemens Healthineers hopes to simplify workflow thanks to more lightweight of the device, high maneuverability and the intuitive interface of touch gestures.
The SpotAdapt function helps to visualize anatomic areas. The user needs to select only specific anatomic area on the image of print preview in the touch user interface. A system automatically optimizes the corresponding parameters of the image and post-processing, such as brightness and contrast.
Besides, Cios Flow offers a number of functions which help to minimize risk of cyber attacks to a system or data of the patient. In particular, management of access rights for separate user groups is changed, and data can be ciphered. Maintaining the magazine of the main configuration changes provides transparency of all introduced amendments.[1]
