Cisco CallManager represents the central solution component of Cisco IP telephony and video telephony.

It is intended for accomplishment of the basic managing functions in a system, such as management of establishment telephone both video of connections and ensuring additional functions for subscribers of corporate network of IP-telephony. Application integration, including the systems of glosovy mail / the unified message handling (Unified Messaging), the systems of holding multimedia meetings, interactive speech interaction (IP IVR), etc. is also performed using Cisco CallManager on the basis of the open program interfaces (API) supported by it. Cisco CallManager also provides a broad set of means for the system administrator on nastroyky and to system management of IP-telephony/video telephony. As a hardware platform for the software of Cisco CallManager the Cisco Media Convergence Server (MCS) servers and also the certified models of servers of other producers (IBM, HP) are used.
