For February 6, 2017 the switch of the Catalyst Digital Building Series Switches series - the switch for digital buildings, providing power supply and communication of the engineering systems in low-voltage IP network.
On February 6, 2017 the Cisco Systems company announced an output to the market of a series of the switching devices Catalyst Digital Building Series Switches.
Main features
- Convergence support. For the first time management of so different systems (lighting, heating, ventilation and conditioning, a gating system) is performed about the help of one switch. It became possible thanks to for the first time to the support of the CoAP protocol (Constrained Application Protocol), the key internet protocol of things developed for devices with limited resources implemented in the industry.
- The doubled power. The switch supports more powerful lighting instruments and provides recovery of a power supply within 5 seconds after shutdown. The Cisco UPOE technology provides the power of 60 W on the port that exceeds the current indicator of PoE+ twice.
- The simplified installation. When developing the switch much attention was paid to simplicity of installation. Setup and adjustment are performed using Bluetooth technology and mobile application.
- Silent operation. Bezventilyatorny construction does the switch ideal for such premises with increased requirements to noise level as hospitals, shops, hotels, office spaces.
