On September 14, 2010 Cisco announced an expanded product portfolio and services for data processing centers and the updated strategy in DPC accelerating IT-Innovations, to increase profitability of business and to support the new business models including virtualization of the desktop systems and technology of public and private "cloud" calculations.
Cisco announced the unified network services (Unified Network Services) intended for delivery of any network service in any environment on screens of any size and also improved the unified matrix of switching (Unified Fabric) and the unified environment of calculations (Unified Computing System) to increase flexibility, simplicity and profitability of their implementation. Besides, the company announced the new professional services allowing partners and customers to receive the maximum benefit from investments into standard architecture of DPC of Cisco Data Center Business Advantage.
The combination of the unified network services, the unified environment of calculations and the unified matrix of switching creates a basis for creation of the integrated architecture of Cisco Data Center Business Advantage. This architecture is designed to increase efficiency and flexibility of both traditional DPC, and the virtualized environment of a data processing center. Cisco Data Center Business Advantage helps to establish direct link between information and technology investments and business development due to express delivery of new services, formation of new sources of income, increase in profitability and implementation of new transformational business and information and technology models.

The unified network services of Cisco are provided a wide choice of services of physical and virtual type, support flexibility and freedom of choice, provide coordination of rules (politician), simplify transactions and allow to redistribute freely work assignments between different network, computing and "cloud" environments. - The combination of the Nexus 5000 switch to the new extender of a matrix of Cisco Nexus Fabric Extender 2224TP creates alternative options of implementation for customers with a low density of servers on a rack. Cisco Nexus 2248TP can be connected to the Nexus 7000 switches, providing to the customer wide channels 100M/1G at simultaneous simplification of management.
- The new Catalyst 6513-E chassis with a capacity of switching more than two terabits per second and the software of Catalyst 4900 with EnergyWise 2.0 and Trust Sec technologies is protected by investments and support work both the traditional, and virtualized data processing centers.
