Cisco Security Manager

Cisco Security Manager is the solution for the centralized providing all aspects of a configuration of devices and security policies for Cisco firewalls, virtual private networks (VPN) and intrusion prevention systems (IPS). This solution provides effective management even small networks in which there are no more than 10 devices, however it can extend for management of the large networks consisting of thousands of devices. The scalability is reached at the expense of the intellectual methods of management on the basis of policy simplifying administration.

Cisco Security Manager (CSM) is the scalable centralized control system using which administrators can effectively manage the wide range of devices of information security from Cisco company, to see the devices installed in network and to communicate with other important network services (the systems of satisfaction of statutory and regulatory requirements and modern analysis systems of information security).

Unlike other management systems whose scaling requires installation of a set of products, the one and only copy of CSM can manage very large number of devices that sharply increases scalability of this solution.

This system supports continuous monitoring of "health" and capacity of Cisco ASA and IPS devices and transmits alarms when the traced parameters reach threshold values.

The intuitive interactive template (wizard) considerably simplifies and optimizes individual and group updating of program images on network ASA screens.

The solution provides (via the API interfaces) access to settings the politician of Cisco Security Manager and allows the organizations to transfer this information to other important network services, for example, to systems which are responsible for the satisfaction of statutory and regulatory requirements and the analysis of level of information security.
