The ship is designed for sightseeing transportation of up to 90 passengers and is adapted for work in the waters of St. Petersburg, taking into account the peculiarities of the city infrastructure.

The acceptance certificate was signed after the completion of all construction work. The leasing project was implemented with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia with the provision of preferential financing within the framework of a special leasing program for sea and river civil vessels of USC JSC. The vessel will be leased to Neva Travel Company LLC for commercial operation on tourist routes.

Passenger ship "City Cruise" launched in Russia

The first vessel of this series was commissioned in May 2024. The new ship is specially designed for navigation in the small rivers and canals of the northern capital. The design takes into account height limitations associated with the presence of low bridges in the historic part of the city.

The technical features of the vessel are the overall length of 21.8 meters with a width of 5.55 meters. The height of the ship is 1.78 meters, which allows you to pass under bridges with a minimum margin. The draft of the vessel does not exceed 0.7 meters, ensuring the possibility of working in shallow water areas. The displacement of the ship reaches 40.21 tons.

The power plant includes two main engines with a total capacity of 126 kilowatts (2x63 kW), which provides cruising speed of up to 7 knots. The cruising range is 500 nautical miles without refueling. A crew of two is required to operate the vessel.

Project 04240 City Cruise was developed by Forss Technologies taking into account the modern requirements for passenger inland navigation vessels. The ship received safety class RKO - R 1.2 A, which meets the standards for operation in coastal waters and inland waterways.[1]
