Compatibility with Kaspersky Security for virtual and cloud environments
The software package for building cloud solutions "Basis" has become fully compatible with the Kaspersky Security solution for virtual and cloud environments. This was announced on May 19, 2022 by Rostelecom. The combination of two products will allow customers to get a complete set of virtualization technologies with an effective security tool.
One of the important tasks in the operation of a virtual infrastructure is to ensure information protection and data integrity, as well as correctly distribute the load on computing resources. Classic solutions involve installing full security on each virtual machine. However, this results in cost overruns as well as increased stress on the virtualization platform and storage, which ultimately reduces the overall performance of the virtual infrastructure.
Kaspersky Security for Virtual Environments takes into account the specifics of virtualization technology and provides centralized protection at the virtual machine level, and the use of a specialized security server and a lightweight agent significantly reduces the load on the processor, memory and I/O system.
Testing the compatibility of Kaspersky Security for virtual environments and the Basis software complex has confirmed the efficiency of using computing resources while maintaining a high level of security for virtual machines based on both Windows and Linux. During testing, specialists from Basis and Kaspersky Lab deployed a test bench that includes all the necessary elements of the virtual infrastructure, as well as information security components. Test virtual machines running Windows and Linux operating systems were prepared, on which a lightweight protection agent was installed.
"Basis" provides customers with completely ready-made cloud products for organizing the workflow. At the same time, we always pay special attention to the issue of compatibility of our solutions with partner products so that customers are confident in the uninterrupted operation of their own information systems. The integrated use of Basis cloud solutions with Kaspersky Security for virtual and cloud environments provides reliable protection of critical customer data, allows you to successfully reflect the main range of cyber attacks without overloading the client's software and hardware complex, - commented David Martirosov, General Director of Cloud Platform LLC. |
The intensity and complexity of cyber attacks is growing, the infrastructure is also becoming complex and multifaceted. With mass remote work in the face of changing IT requirements, cloud technologies provided by Russian providers give businesses serious advantages and ensure stable functioning. But for a cloud platform, you need to use specialized protection that will not offset the benefits of virtual systems. The integration of our specialized security solution with the Basis cloud infrastructure will allow customers to focus on their priorities, "said Veniamin Levtsov, director of Kaspersky Lab's global center for expertise on corporate solutions. |
