At the beginning of January, 2020 Colgate provided the smart Plaqless Pro toothbrush which in real time traces a raid and badly cleaned sections. The miniature sensor which is built in in the device transmits data to the user through a special ring on a brush which shines in blue color at detection of a raid and becomes white when teeth net. The sensor is capable to detect a raid at the level of separate teeth, the producer claims.

One more feature of Plaqless Pro is that its sensors create "card" of a mouth and transfer these data back to the smartphone. Thus the user can precisely learn what sections of teeth he cleaned well what passed. The application also offers the personalized recommendations about toothbrushing based on data of use of a toothbrush.

Colgate Plaqless Pro will become the first electric toothbrush which monitors accumulation of a raid and controls its cleaning in real time. At an exhibition of consumer electronics (CES) this gadget was mentioned by an award for the best innovations for maintenance of health and beauty.

Care of an oral cavity becomes more and more personalized, allowing to pick up treatment depending on specific needs of each patient — doctor Maria Ryan, the chief stomatologist of Colgate noted. — The smart Colgate Plaqless Pro toothbrush — one of tools providing transition to such personalized leaving.

Colgate by the beginning of 2020 does not report when Plaqless Pro goes on sale and the expected price, however it is known that this product will be more expensive, than a smart toothbrush of E1 company worth $100, already available in the market. Colgate claims that the cost of the Plaqless Pro toothbrush will correspond to the price of top solutions of Oral-B and Sonicare, i.e. within $200-300.^[1]
