Commvault Clinical Archive is the solution created for management of clinical data in the organizations of health care — for more effective exchange and data migration which are stored in outdated applications.
Commvault Clinical Archive will allow to upgrade management processes, migrations and exchange of clinical data in the medical organizations. The solution was announced at the HIMSS 2016 conference (Health IT Conference for 2016) which took place in Las Vegas from February 29 to March 4 under the slogan "Transforming the Health Industry using IT".
Clinics and the organizations of health care look for methods to control costs and to provide to the patients the best service. Centralized operation by information using the solution Commvault Clinical Archive, gives the chance to distribute databases, to reduce storage costs, to improve data exchange and to get rid of costs for support of outdated applications.
Now the medical organizations will be able to refuse outdated PACS solutions for benefit of a single platform, and at the same time to save access to old data for new PACS solutions and to make them available to mass migration. Data are taken from outdated PACS in their original format, normalized and transferred to clinical archive in a standard compatible format, and then go to storage for future reference.
Commvault Clinical Archive can be used as the repository which is not depending on the supplier for all clinical information — what traditional VNAs (Vendor Native Archives) of the solution aim at. The Commvault platform does not depend on hardware solutions and supports cloud, local, physical and virtual environments to correspond to all requirements of the organizations of health care — as in terms of business, so in terms of care of patients.
