Conga-IT series is a series of the integrated Mini-ITX form factor motherboards.
2018: Conga-IT6
The congatec company in January, 2018 provided the integrated conga-IT6 motherboard which is the motherboard of a form factor Mini-ITX intended for high performance embedded applications, providing high scalability for all processor sockets, suitable for embedded applications, thanks to existence of the slot of COM Express Type 6 in it.
Users of this motherboard can scale the applications for all corresponding generations of processors and producers as required, thereby saving the subsequent developments in the field of the high-performance built-in computing. This flexible scalability allows to save the level of high performance from the Intel processors Core i7 and Intel Xeon E3, transferring to its future projects — for example, on the basis of architecture of AMD Zen. The built-in motherboard also provides long-term use of the existing Mini-ITX form factor motherboards as the laid-off processor modules easily are updated by replacement by new without any modifications directly the payment.
The conga-IT6 Mini-ITX motherboard which is specially developed for satisfaction of constantly growing needs for high-class devices will support all future offers of processors from congatec for a form factor of COM Express Type 6. In the current range of computing opportunities of this payment processors Intel Atom, Celeron and Pentium, AMD Embedded G-and R-Series and also processors of the 7th generation of Intel Core i7 and Xeon E3. Support of the last processor turns conga-IT6 into the powerful built-in server payment of Mini-ITX with long-term availability which is not offered by any other producer of the built-in computer systems. The COM Express standard defines as well solutions for cooling which offer individual thermal interfaces to the computer on the module, but saving at the same time the uniform system area and height. It means that combinations of the module COM Express and the solution for its cooling will be also mechanically compatible and interchangeable within a system. For this congatec proposes suitable passive and active solutions of cooling of the modules.
Specifications
The motherboard of industrial class conga-IT6 of a form factor Mini-ITX for the modules COM Express Type 6 integrates in itself the standard built-in interfaces with the functions of performance available in the field of information technologies. The graphic slot of PCIe depending on the module is available to connection of high-performance video cards and GPGPU with 16 lines. For additional peripheral devices four USB ports and miniPCIe port are provided. Monitors can be connected through two DP, two HDMI, eDP, LVDS and VGA. Also two 1 GbE with the special Intel i211 network controller are provided, and existence for micro-SIM offers flexible network capabilities.
As for data storage devices, there are two SATA Gen3 and also the slots for microSD of cards and the M.2 type B maintaining fast memory of Intel Optane here. As for the built-in interfaces, the offered motherboard has four COM ports (232/422/485), one GPIO and one bus I²C. Broad range of external and internal input voltages (from 12 V to 24 V of a direct current) provides a flexible power supply, and thanks to support of Smart Battery Management use of a payment and in mobile applications with battery power supply is possible. A broad set of accessories — such as screened input/output ports (I/O), cable sets and video adapters is also available to simplification of design.
