2021: Electric truck announcement

In November 2021, the Ukrainian company Coolon Motors, formerly called Murmuration Technology, introduced the Coolon electric truck. Its mass production is preparing for the beginning.

The basis of the car was a modular platform, which, according to the developers, will allow you to install various types of bodies and change the wheelbase. The vehicle will be able to carry goods from 1.5 to 2.5 tons, and the range will be from 200 to 300 km. The length of the truck is 5 m, the width is 1.7 m, the height is 2.1 m.

Coolon Electric Truck

The engine for an electric car with a power of 30 to 80 kW in the company was developed independently. This is a modernized valve jet motor, where it is half as much copper, which significantly reduces the cost.

According to the leading Coolon engineer Vitaly Bryzgalov, the company is trying to use the maximum number of domestic components, including its own production. The company noted that Coolon plans to change the field of urban logistics with the help of its cars.

The cost of the Coolon electric truck will be $16 thousand. In the first year, it is planned to collect about 2 thousand copies. In the future, the volume of production can be increased to 20 thousand electric cars per year.

Coolon Motors, based in Krivoy Rog, is engaged in the design and manufacture of equipment for commercial electric transport and light aircraft. The company began work in 2014 with the production of drones for the army. Two years later, the company's specialists converted the decommissioned Turkish minibus into an electric bus. Based on the experience of creating this transport, they decided to create their own commercial electric transport and enter industrial production volumes, Coolon Motors reported in November 2021.^[1]
