2020: The announcement of an exoskeleton from German Bionic with connection to IoT
In the middle of July, 2020 the German company Bionic released an easy exoskeleton with connection to Internet of Things. The Cray model of the X 4th generation is equipped with an easy frame from carbon fiber and urged to protect workers from injuries, the producer claims.
As a rule, the clothes which are put on atop on a trunk (or even on all body) industrial exoskeletons include electric motors or just springs which increase the muscular strength of the user. The exoskeleton helps workers, reducing loading when those lift different objects, squat or carry out physically difficult tasks.
Cray of the X 4th generation also uses two servomotors for weight compensation of the lifted loads, reducing load of 28 kg. At the same time it protects a lower back of the user from excessive tension. A power supply moves from the removable lithium accumulator which, according to developers, is capable to work 8 hours without recharge. The company claims that Cray X minimizes risk of injuries and expenses connected with it.
The new exoskeleton is also compatible to Internet of Things that allows it to be connected to infrastructure of "smart factories" and to automatically receive updates of the firm ware. Besides, it can be used with the Cray Visor system supplied with functions of augmented reality. Wireless connection between Cray X, a cloud IoT-packet of Bionic IO and Cray Visor allows to display instructions and other useful information on the hood screen. Besides, in a set an exoskeleton of Cray X and Cray Visor minimize influence of any harmful substances which are contained in air.
German Bionic offers Cray X to corporate clients on a subscription - from 699 euros a month. Innovation is available in the European market.[1]
