Flexible task flow management tool
On April 11, 2022, the ALP Group Corporate Information Systems Department (ALP-IS LLC - DKIS) announced the introduction of an important tool for flexible task flow management in Lean Production technology - to meet changing customer needs.
The added functionality will allow ALP DKIS to evaluate, respond to and process customer requests for changes that are increasingly arising due to a rapidly changing economic situation. At the same time, the enhanced capabilities of Lean Production ALP (BP) improve the quality of management and reallocation of resources through the timely "connection" of specialists with the necessary skills.
The corresponding ALP DKIS technology allows you to decompose the implementation of each stage of the project. So, now the chain of work is as follows: priority - macro tasks - specific operations - "reconfiguration" technology - microstap - its acceptance - further development. Importantly, Lean Production capabilities support Waterfall and Agile projects.
The application of this technology becomes a prerequisite for the successful implementation and development of large business projects - regardless of the area in which a particular organization works - whether it is the largest transport or logistics companies, banks, production enterprises or fuel and energy complex. The ALP approach, deployed as a specific integrated management mechanism, not only ensures the stability of the Russian business, but also provides an opportunity for its territorial and functional development.
DKIS ALP switched to the Lean Production model in 2019, making it the Russian standard for the implementation of corporate IT projects. Among the key tools of BP ARM "Labor Plan," "Project Passport," "Project Manager Monitor" and "Resource Manager Monitor." The planning, budgeting and reporting subsystems are integrated into a common change management system (MIS). Lean manufacturing is a methodology and a set of appropriate technologies created by DKIS ALP for the implementation of complex corporate IT systems. Its feature is the combination of products, analysts, practices, planning models, cost analysis and team selection based on the required competencies. It is of fundamental importance that various BP information sections are available both for DKIS employees and for their clients.
Integration with IMS
The Department of Corporate Information Systems ALP Group integrated has the key functionality of the Labor Plan AWS in the technological framework of its own Lean Production methodology for the effective management of complex projects. The company announced this on January 25, 2022.
AWS "Labor Plan" collects information on the current state of work performed by the employee at each site and in relation to a specific task, which allows you to manage priorities, adjust the dates of each stage of the project and record the results of internal acceptance. Accordingly, this module becomes one of the main tools for collecting primary data on the progress of a particular project, necessary for decision making by resource managers, HR specialists and managers.
The updated WS "Labor Plan" is fully integrated with the MIS (the author's ALP DKIS change management system) and is an effective tool for all specialists involved in the implementation of projects, ensuring two-way information exchange and multi-level control. For example, the functionality included in the module allows the employee to timely signal the need to attract additional resources or specify the timing of the task. In turn, the project manager sees online the most accurate slice of information about the performance of specific works and the project as a whole, which allows, in conjunction with other analytical tools, to significantly more efficiently allocate resources, use additional communication channels and, through continuous feedback, guarantee the high quality of each stage. At the same time, planning, estimating, calculating the man-hours used, obtaining data on the load of employees and "closing" microsteps now takes place at weekly intervals, while previously management was based on intervals of 30 days.
In addition, the analytical capabilities of Lean Production technology - based on data received from AWS - enable managers to immediately monitor and record the status of the task (percentage of its implementation), find the causes of delays and deviations from the original schedule, and view the implementation history of any microstep.
As of January 2022, data obtained through the Labor Plan AWS help managers at all levels and HR service specialists evaluate the work of employees according to four indicators: complexity of the task, quality of development, speed of implementation and absence of errors. Accordingly, resource managers now own a significantly large amount of information, which makes the allocation of the necessary resources really motivated, and HR can quickly plan and implement training programs, maintain the qualifications of employees and help them move up the career ladder.
Over the past few years, the Lean Production methodology of DKIS ALP has been the foundation for the successful implementation of complex projects for all major divisions of the Group of Companies. As of January 2022, this methodology includes the following technological tools: Project Manager Monitor, Project Passport, Resource Manager Monitor, budgeting and reporting subsystems, as well as an integrated change management system (MIS). At the same time, ALP DKIS uses this know how not only in its current activities, but also provides the opportunity with its help to organize effective joint work of all project participants in a single information environment.
