Opening of DPC
In June, 2018 Schneider Electric, the expert in the field of design and construction of data processing centers, announced commissioning of commercial center of data processing HP26 of company 3data in Moscow. Infrastructure of data center is implemented on the basis of the complete solution Schneider Electric.
Company 3data develops network of commercial data centers, for the first time in Russia having implemented the concept of "DPCs of close proximity". This concept means location of data center in the maximum proximity to customers. The name of new data center - HP26 - is formed from its address: Moscow, Novoryazanskaya Street, 26. The location of DPC was defined by "close proximity": HP26 is in the district of Moscow where concentration of offices of banks and communication hubs of large operators is high. For these clients high reliability of DPC and convenience of service of the equipment installed in it are basic.
The Novastar company acted as the general contractor of the project. Design of DPC started in November, 2016, since January, 2017 preparatory work on an object began. The data center was planned to placement in the building of the former plant, and an overhaul was required: without changes there was left only reliable brick "framework", the premises were subjected to complete re-planning. After completion of repair work in June, 2017 installation of the engineering systems began. Into commercial operation of DPC it is put in January, 2018.
Characteristics of DPC
The total area of data center is 450 sq.m. from which machine halls and the engineering systems occupy about 250 sq.m. The rest of space is taken away for the kovorkingovy zone intended for comfortable work of staff of the companies using services of data center.
Technology part of DPC 3data consists of two premises: machine hall for placement of the computing equipment and premises of the engineering systems. The hall with the IT equipment is equipped with 60 mounting cabinets of NetShelter SV expected placement of 140 kW of the server hardware. Two duplicative lines from the system of distribution of uninterrupted power supply providing a connectivity to 5.5 kW of the equipment are brought to each cabinet.
The cooling system of DPC is implemented based on four perimeter Uniflair conditioners of the IDAV series with the design volume of cold of 50 kW. Devices are equipped with invertor compressors for which there are no starting currents. Conditioners are connected to the system of uninterruptible power supply that provides the high level of readiness of the engineering systems of DPC
"When implementing this project for the first time in Russia precision Schneider Electric Uniflair conditioners from the updated IDAV series line were used. The invertor compressor installed in this model provides much higher reliability and energy efficiency. The system of distribution of power supply of the building, the panel board equipment, time cut-outs and uninterrupted power supply of DPC it is also implemented based on the equipment Schneider Electric. In the project the high-performance three-phase system of protection of power supply of Galaxy 5500 was used. Reservation of the UPS is performed according to scheme N+1, and for each UPS the battery array is set that with guarantee will provide the high level of fault tolerance of systems. Each of three installed 80 kVA UPSes is capable to provide support of power supply of all devices of data center within 15 minutes. This time is enough for start of the stand-by power supply - the diesel generator.
When choosing engineering solutions the experience of company 3data accumulated at construction of the previous data centers was considered. Systems are picked up so that to provide the high level of readiness of DPC, possibilities of carrying out scheduled and recovery work on all crucial nodes without loss of quality of the provided services are provided. No break power supply systems and conditioning are capable to minimize not used resources of the engineering systems at workload of DPC, to reduce capital and operating costs in data center.
For the beginning of summer of 2018 all tanks of DPC were redeemed by March 1, 2018, before an opening ceremony which was planned for June 6, 2018.
