DPC Megafon Rostov-on-Don

In October, 2016 MegaFon announced completion of construction and hardware of the Southern Federal District's first data center for own business challenges in 14 regions of the Caucasian branch with a possibility of placement of the server hardware of large corporate clients and providers of communication. Resources of the Rostov DPC of MegaFon will allow corporate clients of the company to optimize considerably costs for installation of the IT equipment – for this purpose to rent the remote platform for its placement with the high level of security, fault tolerance, the round-the-clock monitoring and responsible service enough.

"In addition to service of own telecom equipment on the platform of DPC the IT equipment of online providers and large B2B-clients will be placed — Alexey Barkov, the director of department of MegaFon in the Rostov region told. — Possibilities of DPC allow to include quickly the equipment of clients of a B2O-segment to the protected channel Internet capacities of MegaFon at necessary data transfer rates from 1 GB / with above".

Under tasks of own data center MegaFon completely upgraded the equipment which is responsible for uninterrupted and the guaranteed power supply of mobile networks of all Caucasian branch. Capacities of such equipment placed in Rostov-on-Don based on data center, the company doubled from 650 kWh to 1.5 MW/h that considerably will increase reliability of work of mobile communication of MegaFon in all regions of the Southern Federal District, North Caucasus federal district and the Central Black Earth.

Technical capabilities of the Rostov MegaFon, according to the company, allow to minimize risks of accident rate and to increase fault tolerance of the capital equipment and communication lines due to reservation.
