The Dassault Systèmes company announced on July 23, 2018 start of industry solution of Reinvent the Sky for the space and defense industry. Constructed based on platform 3DExperience from Dassault Systèmes, the solution Reinvent the Sky is designed to accelerate development of light planes and unmanned aerial vehicles, since work on the concept and finishing with creation of working prototypes.

The solution Reinvent the Sky is proposed by scalable cloud access to applications for design and modeling in the uniform, protected and standardized digital medium with fast and easy deployment. Multidisciplinary commands can work in real time on formation of requirements, monitor changes at all stages — from work on the initial concept and finishing with production, to get access to the general processes and parts, with a possibility of their reuse and also to accelerate decision making for minimization of quantity of errors.

According to representatives of Dassault Systèmes, the virtual Universes give opportunities for new developments, training and production, outputting the concept of mobility for a framework of the automobile sector. In aircraft they eliminate barriers at entry into the market of small innovative companies which develop the electric flying taxi, drones for cargo delivery and other sustainable solutions for air transport of passengers, goods and for the smart cities. The industry solution of Reinvent the Sky allows to reduce twice time of development of the first prototype and at the same time minimizes costs, creators of a product claim.
