MaxParallel for SQL Server is the solution for optimization of databases, provides superfast transaction processing, preparation of reports and analytics in real time.
The technology created on a basis the former developments of the company connected with optimization of storage (DataCore Advanced Storage Services) is the cornerstone of a product.
MaxParallel is the independent product which is not depending on DataCore product line for storage systems. Nevertheless, the SANsymphony and Hyper-Converged Virtual SAN software packages released by the company implement services of the general storage which can increase in addition performance of databases and optimize work at other mixed loadings.
2017: Announcement
On September 27, 2017 the DataCore Software company provided the first product for optimization of databases intended for superfast transaction processing and analytics in real time. MaxParallel for SQL Server is already available on Azure Marketplace and also the authorized partners have DataCore worldwide. This product is easily unrolled and supports SQL Server databases 2016, 2014, 2012 and 2008, working both at the platform of the customer, and in a cloud.
According to developers, MaxParallel for SQL Server optimizes operation of applications which intensively use databases (e-commerce, ERP, high-frequency trading, applications for implementation of such initiatives of the digital world as IoT). The solution eliminates the conflicts because of resources in multicore systems that increases productivity of the Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) applications and provides fast request processing during peak load periods. Use of MaxParallel for SQL Server does not require the additional hardware and modification of a program code of applications.
According to developers, the first users applying MaxParallel to applications with the large volume of transactions could reduce request processing time by 1.2-3 times, process 20-60% more transactions and 1.5-2 times quicker prepare reports.
The software of MaxParallel grew from our developments for applications with very high intensity of the addressing data. We began with storage systems and then saw that the basic reason of the problems connected with these applications is in servers. It became soon obvious that the Parallel I/O technology can eliminate the conflicts because of resources caused by sequential access to the database, and use of this technology gives positive effect even if in the database parallelization of requests is implemented — the director of technologies (CTO) DataCore Roni Putra told. |
The cost of editions Standard and Enterprise of the product MaxParallel for SQL Server will be about 15% of the recommended retail price of the corresponding editions Microsoft SQL Server. The software can be licensed on subscription model (with an hourly pay), or to purchase the perpetual license depending on number of cores of the processor of a host at which SQL Server works. Information on rates for an hourly pay are placed on Azure Marketplace.
Concerned parties can get access to a product for fact-finding testing within 30 days and also carry out interactive test drive of a product.
