2024: Presentation of the model "DateRu PS 3200"

DataRu, a Russian vendor of technological solutions and services, expanded the series of DSS "DataRu PS," presenting an updated model "DataRu PS 3200." The solution has a higher capacity and efficiency. The developer announced this on May 31, 2024.

The updated model "DataRu PS 3200" allows the use of solid state drives based on QLC chips. This opens up opportunities for a significant increase in capacity. The DSS are provided by four processors Intel Xeon processors with 64 cores (2.1 GHz) and 768 GB of RAM. The device is made in a 2U form factor, and is also equipped with two controllers operating in active-active mode.

The minimum configuration includes 11 QLC drives, allowing you to scale the infrastructure as needed, up to 5.9 PB of effective capacity. Intelligent load balancing capabilities reduce costs and improve efficiency in mixed TLC and QLC clusters.

With software improvements, customers can optimize power costs without losing hardware performance. DSS data compression increased by 20% and efficient TB/W utilization decreased by 28%. On average, the compression ratio will be 5:1.
