Delivery Club: Alan

Alan is the software solution in the field of foodtech for work with the schedule. It predicts and determines demand by specific zones on the basis of historical and external data (weather, holidays), preferences of the courier (route), promotional actions in restaurants and Delivery Club (marketing). Besides, a system gives the chance to couriers to state preferences on zones directly in the application and to confirm the appointed changes. It was called in honor of the English mathematician, the logician and the pioneer of information science Alan Matheson Turing.

2019: Submission of the solution

On March 5, 2019 the delivery service Delivery Club submitted the smart schedule for couriers. It is the Alan system which using artificial intelligence creates the schedule of couriers proceeding from demand for delivery of food in the different districts of the city and orders coming to the delivery service. Own development of the company optimizes time of couriers, distributes them on zones of work and allows to avoid idle time. It will help to reduce delivery time. For March, 2019 a system was already tested in St. Petersburg, and it will work in all cities of presence of Delivery Club.

Before start of the Alan system the schedule of couriers on each change formed manually, and it took away up to 8 working hours from managers. The human factor cannot be excluded therefore they could be mistaken, and it was very difficult predict demand for delivery. Alan will help us not only to reduce delivery time, but also to make work of couriers more pleasant.
