2015: Dell Networking C9010

On September 27, 2015 the Dell company announced development for network infrastructure of the organizations of the integrated architecture with the Dell Networking C9010 switch and the remote interface C1048P card^[1].

The solution of Dell helps to transform the operating Dell Networking N-серии switches to the remote interface cards managed on a centralized basis.

The Dell Networking C9010 switch is multihigh-speed building block solution of new generation and is the first platform built on a new network architecture of Dell. The device provides up to 4 thousand virtual ports managed on a centralized basis, support of standards 10GbE and 40GbE and a possibility of upgrade to 100GbE that customers could bring in the future the corporate networks into accord with the increasing requirements to capacity. C9010 can also function as the standard switch in corporate network without use of the remote Dell Networking C1048P cards.

Potential of the Dell Networking C9010 switch in all range is shown at connection of the remote C1048P cards – this combination of the equipment is simple in use and management, is characterized by scalability. Ports of remote cards are visible from the console of the C9010 switch and are configured as the interface cards in one of slots of the modular switch.

Therefore still ports of remote cards are called virtual.
