Dell Networking Z9500 - the new switch of the fixed form factor is intended for DPCs with horizontal scalability and cloud environments.
On March 28, 2014 the Dell company provided the Dell Networking Z9500 switch - it provides the record density of ports and ultrahigh [1]
Specific Features
Dell Networking Z9500 is the core switch for data processing centers with support of standards 10/40 GbE differing in effective energy consumption and the highest density of the ports in the class falling on one it is resistant - the place. He also allows to invest in development of infrastructure in process of emergence of new requirements (Pay-As-You-Grow).
The switch is capable to satisfy requirements of data processing centers at consolidation of networks on the basis of standards 10/40 GbE regardless of what topology is applied: centralized or distributed. The model is suitable for high-performance DPCs, cloud computing, commercial DPCs and construction of central nodes of computer networks of the enterprises. Dell Networking Z9500 is ideal for such workloads as Web 2.0, high-performance computing (High-Performance Computing) and virtualization.
Advantages
- Unsurpassed ratio of density - ports/performance. Density of ports in one it is resistant - the place three times higher, capacity exceeds 10 Tbit / with, and the delay of switching was cut by half in comparison with switches of Dell of the previous generation.
- High level of flexibility. The switch borrows 3 with firmness - places (3U) and provides 132 ports of standard 40GbE or 528 ports of standard 10GbE using cables splitters.
- Readiness for expansion. The switch is suitable for the enterprises planning further expansion of network and for the enterprises with the growing needs for computing resources. Dell offers several configurations of this switch with licenses for 36, 84 or 132 ports 40GbE. The switch is suitable for small DPCs and allows them to extend as required.
- The switch is ideal for such workloads as Web 2.0, high-performance computing and virtualization.
- High efficiency. The switch consumes about 50 percent less energy on the port in comparison with the Cisco switch Nexus 6004. Fast installation of the switch is provided in a rack without tools thanks to the special Enterprise ReadyRails set.
