In the fall of 2012 of Dell updated families of applications and Dell Wyse PocketCloud services which help the staff of the companies and ordinary users to work with content at any time and in any place from mobile devices and remote computers. PocketCloud Explore and PocketCloud Web offer quick and secure access to the PC and Mac from devices based on Android, iOS and Windows RT, including the Dell XPS 10 tablet and also via any web browser, allowing to get access to any content and to exchange it.
Users even more often need access to working and personal content from the different devices working running different types of operating systems. PocketCloud allows to create easily a personal cloud for search, viewing, the organization and data exchange between smartphones, tablets, notebooks and desktop computers. Documents, video, a photo, music and other files can be from now on available from smartphones and tablets thanks to the PocketCloud Explore application or from notebooks and desktop PCs via the browser thanks to PocketCloud Web service.
PocketCloud Explore
Announced Dell Wyse availability of PocketCloud Explore to iPad and Windows RT. The application allows to get far off access to working and personal content. The new application supplements existing applications of PocketCloud for iOS and Android which from the date of their exit were loaded already more than 3.7 million times, and the user rating in Apple App Store and Google Play is from 4 to 4.5 stars.
PocketCloud Web
The company announced start of PocketCloud Web service which introduces all functions and advantages of the PocketCloud Explore applications in the web browser. From now on users can get from someone else's or general computer access to all the materials - to office files, a photo, video and music, - whether they are stored on the working or personal computer or in a personal cloud. Users have an opportunity of unloading and loading of multimedia files, watching video and listening of music which are stored on the computer due to technology of stream reproduction. They can open and browse and also load files for editing on the local device.
PocketCloud Companion
Dell was announced by PocketCloud Companion - the client application for the Windows and Mac operating systems which provides remote access to content on computers. The PocketCloud Companion application is installed at the plant on all Dell XPS and Dell Inspiron computers supplied to the market of North America from the middle of November. Buyers will have a simple opportunity of creation of own cloud and access to it from smartphones and tablets.
