2020: Announcement of the device

At the end of August, 2020 it became known of creation in Russia of the device intended for detection of viruses in air. It was developed the Krasnogorsk plant of Zverev (KMZ, is included into Schwabe holding) and Research Center of epidemiology and microbiology of Gamalei.

About this device which received the name "Detector BIOT", the CEO of the plant Alexander Novikov told RIA Novosti. According to him, the medicobiological device is capable to define presence not only of viruses, but also bacteria and also toxins.

Russia created the device for detection of viruses in air

"Detector BIOT" is intended for identification at the same time up to 86 causative agents of infectious diseases of the virus and bacterial nature and also toxins in surrounding air environment in completely automatic mode.

Using such device on the automatic analysis of test of air from 10 to 30 minutes, depending on concentration of pathogens and other factors leave — Novikov reported.

As explained RIA Novosti in the press service of "Schwabe", the analysis is made by two independent methods — polymerase chain reaction in real time and an immunofluorescence method. The device is intended for security on places of mass accumulation of people, when holding mass actions, infrastructure facilities, the subway, the airports, railway stations and transport hubs.

Tests of the device at the state level came to the end in June, 2020, its certification prepares for the end of August. In this regard so far early to speak about possible orders of this device, however it can be applied "both in the civil purposes, and to ensuring biological security", Novikov added.

He also pointed to the maximum readiness of specialists if necessary to produce necessary amount of medicines for the customer.[1]
