2023: Start of solutions production

In November 2023, Pharmasintez began production of dialysis solutions. The Diasolution product line is delivered in volumes of 2000, 2500 and 5000 ml with a glucose concentration of 1.5%, 2.3% and 4.25%. They are manufactured at East Farm, which is part of the Pharmasintez group.

As stated in "Farmasintese," this is the first drug for peritoneal dialysis, developed and produced in Russia. Previously, such drugs were supplied only by foreign manufacturers.

Pharmasintez started production of dialysis solutions

The development of import substitution of solutions for peritoneal dialysis is an important stage in building drug safety in Russian patients and ensuring access to the most modern methods of treatment, "explained Anton Andrusev, medical director of Novadial (the official distributor of solutions for peritoneal dialysis at East Farm).

According to Pharmasintez, by November 2023, about 2 thousand patients are treated with peritoneal dialysis in Russia. This method, unlike hemodialysis, is a variant of home dialysis therapy, in which patients treat themselves daily, at home. Therefore, it is vital for them to constantly provide the main component of this therapy with special dialysis solutions, the group noted.

The beginning of the production and supply of the first domestic line of solutions for peritoneal dialysis "Diasolution" is the most important stage of import substitution in dialysis, "said Alexey Kataev, General Director of Novadial.

The first batch of solutions "Diaspora" will go to medical institutions in Moscow, St. Petersburg, North-West, Central, South and Volga federal districts, as well as Siberia and the Far East.^[1]
