Digital Design: The protected tunnel

The protected tunnel - the IOS-APPLICATION of the class SSL VPN Client. "The protected tunnel" — one of applications of a line "The protected mobility" creating a TLS tunnel using the certified CIPFs; through this tunnel any IOS-APPLICATIONS can exchange data with information systems of the organization in a protect mode. Unlike competitive products of similar appointment, "The protected tunnel" does not require accomplishment of the procedure of cracking (jailbreak) of the device.

Description

The application automatically creates a safe tunnel on the basis of TLS (GOST algorithms) around random data which other IOS-APPLICATIONS exchanges with information systems of the organization for protocols of HTTP/HTTPS. Use of the solution "The Protected Tunnel" does not demand accomplishment of the procedure of cracking (jailbreak) of the device from Apple.

System implementation precedes preliminary testing with the assistance of developer company.

"The protected tunnel" uses implementation of the TLS protocol delivered as a part of a CIPF Framework CryptoPro CSP libraries for iOS. This implementation provides cryptographic double-sided authentication of the sender (client) and addressee (server), control of integrity and data encryption of information exchange.

Principle of work

2014: "The protected tunnel" will support terminal access and the joint communications on IOS-DEVICES

In the fall of 2014 the Digital Design company expanded functionality of own software product "The Protected Tunnel". Now terminal IOS-CLIENTS of different vendors and also the client of Microsoft Lync can use the channel protected in accordance with GOST.

Thanks to new functionality "The protected tunnel" provides a possibility of terminal access to the most demanded corporate applications from the devices working at the mobile platform IOS. Now work of terminal clients is successfully tested: Microsoft RDP Citrix Receiver and also some other client applications available to IOS-DEVICES.

In addition to terminal solutions, now "The protected tunnel" supports also safe connection of the IOS-CLIENT of Microsoft Lync. Using this sheaf users can exchange text messages and voice calls in a protect mode.

The latest property of "The protected tunnel" is the compatibility with the product OpenVPN. As Alexander Sidoruk, the head of development of a line of the applications "The Protected Mobility" commented: "In a linking of OpenVPN — "The protected tunnel' occurs double tunneling: traffic of the IOS-APPLICATIONS "is wrapped' in SSL-VPN the channel provided to OpenVPN, and already its traffic goes to "The protected tunnel'. In such scenario administration and setup of the protected connections is significantly facilitated and also the VPN On Demand mode is supported".

2015: Digital Design: "The protected tunnel" received the status Citrix Ready

Digital Design companies also Citrix tested on compatibility and correctness of work of the solution "The Protected Tunnel" with products Citrix XenMobile and Citrix XenApp. According to the results of tested mobile application "The protected tunnel" received the status Citrix Ready. The received status confirms that "The protected tunnel" can be applied to protection of communication channels when using terminal solutions of Citrix company. Besides, mobile application "The protected tunnel" can be operated together with the class MAM/MDM products Citrix.
