2024: Use of a robot in the RWT zone
At the end of November 2024, it became known that the Dispatch ground-based kamikaze robot was at the disposal of the Russian military. This machine can be used to defeat enemy manpower, fortifications such as pillboxes, bunkers, fortified firing points and strongholds. In addition, the robot is capable of performing mining and demining tasks, as well as evacuating wounded soldiers from the battlefield.
The Dispatch drone was created by specialists of the High-Precision Complexes holding, which is part of the Rostec state corporation. The machine is made on a tracked platform, due to which it has high cross-country ability. The robot is able to effectively move over rough terrain, overcoming soft soil, terrain irregularities, tops and puddles. "Dispatch" is made in various modifications with a carrying capacity of up to 100 kg. Control is carried out by the operator using a joystick and a special FPV-helmet, which provides a first-person view.
Robotic systems like this are reliable helpers for front-line fighters. The use of a robot in an open area allows you to reduce the risk for our soldiers and cause a lot of trouble to the enemy, "said Rostec. |
A tracked drone can be used to deliver explosives to enemy positions. It is argued that due to its relatively compact size, detection of the machine is difficult even in observation devices. And therefore, the robot can imperceptibly make its way into enemy territory and choose the optimal place to undermine the ammunition.
"Dispatch" is controlled by one operator and is able to quickly and imperceptibly deliver provisions, ammunition, fuel to the front edge and evacuate wounded soldiers, adds the state corporation "Rostec."[1] |
